About Me

My name is Dennis Bor and I am currently a final-year Electrical Engineering student with a strong interest in embedded systems, electronics, and system design. I enjoy understanding how systems work from the ground up and building solutions from first principles.

I am also a CAD specialist and an electronics hobbyist. I enjoy designing and building systems from scratch and experimenting with different engineering tools. I often use Fusion 360 for mechanical and enclosure design, as well as MATLAB and Proteus for electrical simulation and circuit development. Working with these tools has helped me appreciate how hardware, software, and mechanical design all come together in real engineering products.

Why Embedded Systems?

I decided to participate in the AFRETEC Embedded Systems Training Program at Gearbox because I want to strengthen my practical engineering skills. Embedded systems are at the heart of modern technology, from automation systems to IoT devices, and I want to gain hands-on experience working with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols.

A Bit More About Me

Future Goals

In the long term, I want to become a well-rounded engineer capable of designing and building complete embedded systems from concept to implementation. I also hope to eventually establish a laboratory focused on practical engineering development where people can experiment, prototype, and build real-world solutions.
